Geraldine McCabe is an accredited psychotherapist and counsellor with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through trauma, grief, and emotional distress. An accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Geraldine brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her work.
Having lived experience of the Magdalene Sisters system, Geraldine is uniquely positioned to offer compassionate, specialist care to others affected by institutional trauma. Her professional journey includes key roles with PIPS, SoSad, SHIP, SRC, EAP the Simon Community, and the Samaritans, as well as extensive CPD in suicide prevention, adolescent psychotherapy, and mental health support. Her approach is rooted in Humanistic Integrative Therapy, creating a person-centred space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.
We believe that developing emotional intelligence is key to personal growth and healthy relationships. By understanding our own feelings and recognising the emotions of others, we can respond with greater empathy, resilience, and clarity. In therapy, we encourage the growth of emotional intelligence to help clients navigate life’s challenges with confidence and compassion.
At the heart of our work is a genuine commitment to kindness and understanding. We provide a safe, non-judgemental space where every client feels respected, valued, and supported. Compassion guides every interaction, ensuring you never feel alone in your journey.
Confidentiality, professionalism, and honesty are central to our practice. We know that counselling requires courage and vulnerability, and we are committed to creating an environment built on trust, where clients can share openly and safely.
